Barn Project is Underway

At Coldstream, we never stop! The Lord has been so faithful in growing us significantly over the past year that we are in need of and able to start new projects! Next on the list is the barn. If you've been in the barn before you know it's a dusty place filled with critters! Last summer the barn floor was cemented and we were able to use it for more indoor games and game tables during camps. This year, we're taking it a step further! The goal is to have a 2 story activity barn. The main floor will have game tables, lounging areas and a snack bar where we can have canteen during camp and sell Coldstream memorabilia! Upstairs, we'll have an open space with tables and chairs for games, crafts, small group discussions, etc. So how do we make all this happen with an old tobacco barn???

First, Mr. Joe, Mike, Jon, Jason and Jerry have stripped the barn down to its frame. They are supporting the structure to make sure it can support two floors in the end. Additionally, they have framed in & installed beautiful new doors and windows to allow as much natural air flow and light as possible! The next step is to put red tin on the outside of the barn! We'll track the progress with you on here so keep watching to see what's happening at Coldstream!!! Here's a couple pictures thus far!

If you'd like to donate time, materials or finances to this project please contact the camp office at 615 696 2208! Thanks as always for your prayers and support of Coldstream -- God is doing a mighty work here!

Summer Camps are Complete!!

Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for your prayers and support over the last two weeks...camps were a huge success!! We had 42 girl campers and 30 boy campers -- six girls rededicated their lives, there were also three first time salvations, and one salvation during boys camp!

The Lord was definitely present...we experienced wonderful weather, were blessed by amazing volunteers and dug into the Word each night with a children's curriculum written by John Piper. It was such a joy to serve during this time at Coldstream.

We will be updating the website with pictures very soon so please check back to see some of the week's activities!

Also please know that there are opportunities still available to sponsor children, due to the economy we had a good amount of children that came trusting God to provide their scholarships! And we are trusting that He lay it on your hearts to fill that need. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

New Fence

If you've ever had to chase your basketball or kickball down the hill, into the ravine or even all the way to the lake, you know how important it is to have a good fence by the athletic courts! The existing fence was definitely beginning to show some wear and tear and honestly, was becoming an eye sore. The solution? A brand new, black chain link fence!! This fence will stand the test of time, keep balls from rolling down the hill and allow visitors of the camp to see what's behind it as well. Thanking the Lord for Mike, Jon and Jason that worked to install this fence last weekend!
